USHJA World Championship Hunter Rider Events

The World Equestrian Center will be offering World Championship Hunter Rider (WCHR) Member Events during the WEC Winter Classic #3 show January 9-13, 2019. The World Championship Hunter Rider Program was founded in 1992 to recognize and celebrate the hunter rider. WCHR Program Members qualify for National and Regional Awards by earning points at Member Events held across the country throughout the qualifying year. Points from a rider’s top four WCHR Member Events will be used to determine the National and Regional standings. For more information, about WCHR Program, visit USHJA’s website.

Cadets Horsemanship Program

The Cadets Horsemanship Program is a mini clinic held on Saturday mornings at 7:30 a.m. during every World Equestrian Center sanctioned show. The clinics feature professionals who lecture on topics ranging from basic barn skills to advanced equine care, providing young riders with the opportunity to learn about all aspects of equine industries from top professionals in their areas of expertise. The mini clinics are open to everyone, but only junior riders are eligible for a horse show credit. Each week, 40 junior riders chosen by random drawing will receive a horse show credit. 39 Cadets will receive a $250 horse show credit and one lucky Cadet will receive a $500 credit! Attendance is strictly enforced! Please check in by 7:30 a.m. with the attendant. Only those that check in on time are eligible for the random draw.

Daily Wheel Winner Classes

Each day during every World Equestrian Center sanctioned show, two classes from the prize list are selected at random to receive a $250 prize. Be sure to check the computer in the show office to see which two classes were the “wheel winners” each day!
